Chakras Incense Sticks Review –

Incense Burning

Even as a small, ten year old child, I always kept a small box of incense sticks and cones in my room. I can’t remember precisely why I had them; perhaps they were given as a gift. But I do remember enjoying the view of them burning down into ash. I never realized it til now, but this small fascination kept me in an unintended, yet thorough state of meditation. I could stay sitting for long periods of time watching smoking incense sticks crumble into nothing, as well as watching candle wax melt or simply staring into the fire. Most of us can relate to that one.

Definition of Incense (by Merriam-Webster)

  1. material used to produce a fragrant odor when burned
  2. the perfume exhaled from some spices and gums when burned; broadly a pleasing scent

Anyways, now I enjoy burning incense for aromatherapy and meditation combined. I find it best to sit outside in the grass or on your porch with the incense, because it tones down the smokiness, while still allowing your senses to take in the full aroma. Plus, it’s better for your health to breathe in the fresh air too.

Chakras Incense Sticks

I’m sure that you all know by now that I’m very much into the whole “New Age” movement. I hate placing labels, but it’s the truth. I totally dig balancing and opening up my chakras, crystal healing, tarot cards, and have even took on my own personal reiki practice. I’ve read a solid 100+ books  (and counting) in that broad genre and have been practicing meditation and a sort of new age spirituality for over 13 years. I love it. It helps me make sense out of life and be a better person.

That is why I am certain the Chakras™ Incense brand reached out to me to review their incense sticks. Chakras™ Incense sticks were formulated by an Ayurvedic doctor to make them a perfect companion to your meditation practice. The set comes with 140 incense sticks and seven fragrance blends. If you smell each incense stick starting from the root chakra scent and move up, you can smell the scents getting lighter or airier. They truly do pair well with chakra work. There are no chemicals, colors, or dyes in the manufacturing of the incense products. Each eco-friendly, bamboo incense stick lasts for a good 60 minutes. The packaging is made with recycled paper and it’s encouraged that the user continue recycling upon disposal. Overall, it’s a great product!
Here are the different scents that come in the Chakras Incense Kit.

Awhile ago, I wrote about a meditation that focuses on observing your body’s senses. Consider adding incense to enhance the experience. Of course, you can always use incense for general relaxation or aromatherapy simply because you love the fragrances to fill the air.
All in all, I have no complaints. They all smell really good!
