Kiss Me Organics Ceremonial Grade Matcha

Matcha green tea contains up to 137 times the antioxidants of brewed green tea! Talk about an extremely potent anti-aging elixir and holistic path to cure cancer! This cup of tea is very unique with its bright green color and distinct “green” taste. Matcha is made up of whole green tea leaves, naturally packed with high concentrations of Polyphenols and Epigallocatechin Gallate (EGCG). The whole leaves are ground up into a fine green powder and then, traditionally, served in hot water. Many people add matcha to baked goods, ice cream, or other dishes to boost nutrition.
Kiss Me Organics Ceremonial Grade Matcha offers a high quality matcha that has a subtly sweet and smooth taste. If you plan on drinking matcha, it is important to buy from a farmer who uses organic, 100% first harvest tea leaves to avoid a bitter tasting tea with less nutrients. Kiss Me Organics Matcha comes from the number 1 tea-producing region in Japan, the Shizuoka region, which is recognized by the United Nations as a Globally Important Agricultural Heritage System. They have been certified organic since 2000, synthetic chemical free since 1994, and reduced chemical usage since 1975. What a great reputation to hold!

How Does Matcha Taste?

In order for this product review to be honest and fair, I must disclose that I do not LOVE the taste of matcha green tea. It has a mild, grassy taste. I added a splash of almond milk and was able to semi-enjoy a hot cup of matcha. It will definitely take a few more cups to get used to it because the taste is unfamiliar. However, I will say that it is better tasting than other types of “green” drinks that I have previously sampled at wellness fairs. I will actually drink and use my entire tin of matcha tea. I  might even buy more in the future because I enjoy adding healthy drinks and foods to my diet.
I look forward to sharing matcha green tea recipes that I experiment with in thenear future! If you are interested in tasting this superfood-beverage, it is sold exclusively on Amazon.
