You can’t go wrong serving bean dip at your Monday night football gathering! In fact, my husband and I whip up this recipe during movie date nights too. You can easily make this recipe in under 10 minutes, with minimal ingredients and after-party-clean up!
Grab a can of vegetarian refried beans. They taste the absolute same as the traditional version but it doesn’t contain lard. It even costs the same. It’s way better for our health + the world + animals. =)
Heat up the beans and add some crushed red pepper, garlic salt and onion powder. Try mixing in your favorite unsweetened Silk milk alternative to make it extra rich & creamy. Top with your favorite cheese. For vegan cheese brands, I recommend Follow Your Heart’s cheddar variety. Otherwise, the last time I made this I simply used some regular colby jack. You can also choose to omit the cheese because seasoned & heated refried beans are delicious all by itself!
* I received free coupons to test out Silk products in exchange for a recipe creation. All opinions on Silk products are my own. I regularly buy Silk products already so this was a bonus! I must note that Silk’s dairy-free yogurt is divine! It tastes identical to regular fruit yogurt. If you are looking to go dairy-free, but love yogurt, you must try Silk yogurt!
